On 30 May 2017, the JJD filed a policy grievance against the employer and the PPSC, having failed to comply with the commitment to provide “Superior” ratings at 20% of the total LP population within the PPSC.
As confirmed by the PPSC, only 18.5% of LPs in the PPSC for the 2016-2017 evaluation year were rated "above". (In MJ, 20% of LPs received “Super” ratings for the 2016-2017 assessment year.
Before filing this claim, the AJJ filed an identical principled claim on 2 June 2014 for breach of the cartel. This claim has been resolved and is the subject of a “no-require-up-all” memorandum of understanding, in which the continued commitment to provide “Super-Recent” ratings to 20 percent of the PHC population has been recognized, in line with an earlier commitment provided to the YDY by the Treasury Board.
We look forward to a resolution of the dispute.
